Upcoming California State Fire Training course
Designed for students working to complete the Company Officer certification process and for fire-service professionals pursuing Fire and Emergency Services Instructor 1 certification and SFT Registered Instructor status to teach State Fire Training curriculum.
Course overview
This course builds practical skill in effective communication, delivering course material, adapting prepared lesson plans, using instructional aids, evaluating student performance, and maintaining required training records. The curriculum follows the Instructor I professional qualifications in NFPA 1020.
SFT certification pathways
The requirements are not one continuous sequence for every student. Each numbered option is an independent pathway based on the role or certification you are pursuing.

Registration and enrollment
Provide your student and State Fire Training information, self-confirm a qualifying prerequisite, identify any accommodation needs, and acknowledge the course requirements. At review, choose online payment or approved agency billing. Enrollment is confirmed after payment or agency billing authorization is accepted.
