Program scope

Training matched to the assigned work.

Training begins with the hazards, water environment, team capability, equipment, and response area. Course design can address awareness, operations, and technician functions as well as boat-rescue operations.

Delivery includes practical work in moving water and team-based scenarios where conditions and local permissions allow. Site selection, water levels, weather, and safety controls are confirmed before training.

Available program areas

Awareness

Scene recognition, hydrology, hazards, incident priorities, and support for trained water-rescue resources.

Operations

Shore-based systems, throw-rescue skills, tethered functions, team communications, and assigned support operations.

Technician

In-water movement, contact rescue, advanced rope and boat integration, patient handling, and team scenarios.

Boat rescue

Boat handling, crew roles, approach and recovery, downstream safety, and coordination with shore and in-water personnel.

Delivery

Direct instruction in the operating environment.

Brent’s service record includes commercial Class V river guiding and operational water-rescue work. International delivery can use metric measurements and local equipment, terminology, and procedures.

Programs are personally led and delivered by Brent Dubois. Subcontracted instructors are not used.
